Kathmandu, June 8
Locals have continued to obstruct the disposal of Kathmandu rubbish in Bancharedanda,
according to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Locals have stopped dumping waste, according to Sarkardeep Shrestha, in charge of the
city’s Sisdol landfill site. ”There are obstacles ahead, and cars have come to a complete halt,” Shrestha said to a news channel. ”Discussions on how to continue are underway.”
On Tuesday, locals blocked garbage dumping, claiming that the company had not cooperated with the community. The garbage was then disposed of with force by the police. Locals were upset, claiming that they had been arrested by the police.
