Kathmandu, June 7

In view of upcoming elections to the Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives (HoR), the Election Commission (EC) is starting the collection and update of voters’ name list from June 15.

Earlier, the voters’ name list collection and update was postponed from January 15 after the announcement of the Local Level Election, 2022.

EC’s Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel said those obtaining citizenship and other eligible persons as per the Voters Namelist Act, 2017 could register their names from the Province Election Office, District Election Office, District Administration Office, and Area Administration Office.

As per the new schedule, voters can lodge applications in the concerned offices for the
correction of the errors in registration, change their address and remove their name from the voters’ name list as well.

The EC has urged all voters to update their details and register their names so that no one will be missed out on the upcoming elections.

Likewise, the EC has appealed to all political parties and stakeholders to assist in the voters’ name list collection and update program.
