Speaker Sapkota directs govt to provide booklets on ministry-wise programs

Kathmandu, June 7

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has urged the government to make the booklet including the
programs of various ministries under the Appropriation Bill available as soon as possible.

Speaker Sapkota brought the issue to the government’s attention during Monday’s House of Representatives meeting after lawmakers complained that the ministry-specific program booklets had not been distributed to them.

After the lawmakers repeatedly raised questions about it, Speaker Sapkota directed the
ministry concerned and the government to provide the book containing the programs
immediately.

Under the Appropriation Bill, the ministry-wise discussion started in the House of
Representatives meeting. Various topics from the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Youth and Sports, Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, and Women, Children, and Senior Citizens were discussed during the meeting.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the Ministry of Forest and Environment, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport will hold discussions on various topics.
