Kathmandu, June 6
On Tuesday, the Karnali state administration will propose the policy and program for the fiscal year 2079/80 to the state legislature.
On behalf of the government, State Chief Tilak Pariyar will outline the policies and program.
After the policies and programs are passed, the administration plans to present the budget on June 15.
Only the implementation-oriented plan would be included in the budget this time, according to Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Binda Man Bista. The state administration has made it a point to complete previously incomplete projects.
”Many of the early projects were left unfinished. ”Rather than creating a new plan to give concrete form to such projects, the government is willing to add budget and implement the existing plan,” he added.
Minister Bista claims that the budget for the coming fiscal year would be slightly lower than in previous years.
According to Minister Bista, a project bank would be formed, and new projects will be chosen on a priority basis from among those in the same bank, with resources provided accordingly.
While proposing new and long-term state projects for the coming year, the state government has decided to approve and implement them as multi-year projects based on a full project report and environmental analysis.
