The practice of appointing a minister for six months is dangerous to democracy, according to Bhim Rawal

Kathmandu, June 6

Dr. Bhim Rawal, the head of the CPN-UML, has stated that selecting a minister for six months is harmful to democracy. Rawal made his comments in response to a CPN-Unified Socialist Party’s intention to reorganize its government.

”It is really harmful for the nation, the people, and democracy for some parties and leaders to be seen naked on the ground to appoint specific persons ministers for six months in a row and to establish alliances with opposing ideological parties for positions and power,” Rawal added.

”Practice must be shown in the politics of selfless devotion to the country and the people.” Birodh Khatiwada, Prem Ale, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, and Ram Kumari Jhankri have been recalled by the UCPN (Maoist). Bhawani Khapung will serve as Minister of Health, Metmani Chaudhary as Minister of Urban Development, Jeevan Ram Shrestha as Minister of Tourism, Sher Bahadur Kunwar as Minister of Labor, and Hira KC as Minister of State for Health, among the new ministers.
