Two bills are being tabled in Parliament: Preparations are underway to amend some laws against sexual violence

Kathmandu, June 6

On Monday, two proposals are expected to be introduced in the House of Representatives.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota is expected to introduce Bill 2079, which amends various laws relating to sexual violence.

Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Govinda Bandi is expected to introduce Bill 2079, which would change various laws connected to criminal crimes and the criminal process, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

The Business Advisory Committee meeting, according to the secretariat, will set the final
agenda for the bill to be submitted to parliament.

The committee has the authority to add, delete, or introduce students to the possible agenda.
