25 killed in Bangladesh fire

A fire at a container depot in Sitakunda, Bangladesh, has killed a total of 25 people. According to a top health official, the death toll might possibly climb.

On Saturday night, a fire broke out at the Container Storage Center in Sitakunda, roughly 40 kilometers from Chittagong’s main southern port. Officials from the police department have verified that 25 persons were killed in the fire.

The fire killed 25 people, including five firemen, according to Chatta Gaun District Police Chief Mohammad Mominur Rahman. Because the fire is still burning, the death toll is expected to climb. The fire injured almost 200 persons, including 40 firemen and ten police officers.
