Kathmandu, June 5
Yarsagumba collector in Mugum Karmarong village municipality of the district has earned 2.5 million in income.
Revenue is collected at a rate of Rs 2,000 per person from within the district and Rs 2,500 per person from outside the district in the Patan area of the village municipality.
According to Janaraj Shahi, the village’s Accounts Officer, 2.5 million rupees has been collected from Yarsa collectors in Mugu district’s Siranchaur.
He anticipated that revenue collection would be lower this time since the Yarsa collector had already entered the Patan area illegally.
According to Accounts Officer Shahi, income has been collected from at least 5,000 to 6,000 Yarsa collectors in previous years but owing to the local level election, the number of persons collecting Yarsa has fallen this time.
In the Patan area of Yarsagumba in Mugum Karmarong Gaunpalika-2, a team has been assigned to collect revenue with security forces.
Due to the Corona pandemic, the Mugum Karmarong Municipality has been unable to collect money from Yarsa for the previous three years.
On May 29, the Patan area was opened to Yarsagumba collectors.
