Maoist Centre provides training to elected people’s representatives

Kathmandu, June 1

From today onward, the CPN (Maoist Centre) is providing a two-day training to the people’s
representatives who were elected in the May 13 local level election.

The objective is to contribute to preparing the base of socialism from the grassroots level.
Thematic experts would provide training to the representatives on local government operation, service delivery, development works, good governance, health, education, budget, and law-making in Kathmandu on June 1-2.

The training is being taken by 260 people’s representatives, including chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of rural municipalities, mayors and deputy mayors of rural municipalities, and some independent candidates, according to Maoist Centre central office chief secretary Shreeram Dhakal.

Along with the thematic experts, top leaders of the party, including Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Narayankaji Shrestha, are delivering training content.
