House meeting postponed for 15 minutes after UML protest

Kathmandu, May 27

The CPN-UML has disrupted parliament after Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies
Dilendra Prasad Badu dubbed the statement of the main opposition leader KP Sharma Oli as baseless.

Industry Minister Badu termed the remarks made by main opposition leader Oli during the
discussion on policies and programs as “misleading and baseless” during a special session of the House of Representatives on Friday.

No sooner did Minister Badu comment that UML leader Oli sees nothing but commissions since he lost power as the prime minister while enjoying the charm of the commission than UML lawmakers started protesting.

The UML lawmakers demanded that the remarks made against Oli be removed from the record. Following the UML’s obstruction, the parliament meeting was adjourned for 15 minutes.
