An employee of the Health Research Council has been suspended for sexual misconduct

Kathmandu, May 26

After being accused of sexual misbehavior, a Nepal Health Research Council official has been suspended.

On the charge of sexually assaulting a young woman who came for an internship, the council has suspended training officer Bijay Kumar Jha.

Jha was suspended and action was taken against him after being questioned on the basis of a petition made by a young woman who came for an internship saying that she had been
assaulted. Pradip Gyawali was notified.

In this context, he claims, an investigating committee has been constituted. ”Further inquiry is continuing,” Dr. Gyawali told News Channel. ”The action procedure has been taken forward by suspending Jha.”

Jha had already been suspended for two months in 2076 BS after being detected assaulting a female colleague.
