Kathmandu, May 26
KP Sharma Oli, the chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML and former Prime Minister, is expected to speak during today’s House of Representatives meeting. On May 24, Oli will speak on the government’s annual policy and program for the coming fiscal year. The CPN-UML has been protesting against Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s government for failing to introduce any new policies or programs for the country and its people.
The Federal Parliament now holds sessions of both Houses of Congress. Both houses will meet at 11 a.m. for their sittings. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will suggest at today’s meeting that the joint sitting of both Houses of the Federal Parliament consider President Bidhya Devi Bhandari’s annual policy and program for the coming fiscal year. The amendments received from lawmakers to the Government of Nepal’s annual policy and program for Fiscal Year 2079/08 will be presented and discussed.
