Kathmandu, May 24
Today, the government will announce its policy and program for the fiscal year 2079/80. On
Tuesday at 4 p.m., President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will address a joint session of both chambers of the federal parliament to announce the government’s strategy and agenda.
Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament Dr. Bharatraj Gautam, the
President will speak to the Joint House about the government of Nepal’s annual policy and program for the coming fiscal year. Nepal’s constitution requires that the budget be submitted on May 29. The government will provide the budget for the next fiscal year based on the same policies and programs. The next budget has already been considered in principle during the parliament’s budget session, which started on May 13. The President will only present the government’s policy and program following that discussion.
