Increased prices of petroleum products reflect risks to the economy

Kathmandu, May 23

Fuel costs have risen dramatically again recently. The government raised fuel prices
dramatically on Sunday. With effect from midnight on Sunday, the Nepal Oil Corporation
increased the price of fuel, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 10 per liter.

A liter of fuel will now cost Rs 180 under the revised pricing. Similarly, kerosene and fuel would cost Rs 163 each. The cost of cooking with LP gas has also increased by Rs 200 per cylinder.

According to the Nepal Oil Corporation, a cylinder of gas now costs Rs 1,800.

After raising the price of gasoline, the company was criticized on social media.
