Kathmandu, May 16
Govind Kumar Karmacharya of Nepali Congress has been elected as the mayor of Bhirkot
Municipality of Syangja.
Karmacharya was elected with 6,504 votes. His nearest rival Bishwanath Aryal of the CPN-UML got 5,669 votes.
Bhagwati Regmi Aryal of Nepali Congress was elected as the deputy mayor with 7,197 votes.
Her nearest rival Saraswati Adhikari got 4,928 votes.
