Woman dies due to electric shock in Udayapur

Kathmandu, May 12

A woman has died after being electrocuted while cutting grass in the forest. A woman died on the spot after being electrocuted in Katari Municipality Ward No. 8 of Udayapur.

According to the Katari Area Police Office, the deceased has been identified as Gangamaya
Khatri, 68.

She was returning home at around 4 pm carrying a heavy load of grass when she was
electrocuted near an electricity pole.

Khatri died of an electric shock, according to Santosh Karki, the head of the Nepal Electricity Authority branch office in Katari.
