Tipper operation halted in Kavre for four days from today

Kathmandu, May 12

The tipper operation has been halted for four days in the Kavrepalanchok district to make the local level election on Friday more systematic.

In view of the local level election, Assistant Chief District Officer Amardeep Sunuwar said that the District Administration Office (DAO) has decided to halt the tipper operation, which has been operating from 6 a.m. today to noon on May 15.

Similarly, all types of vehicles except essential services will be stopped on the polling day as per the decision of the Election Commission (EC) to conduct the election in a free and fair environment.

Likewise, the DAO has banned the sale and distribution of liquor from May 9 to 14, in
consideration of the election security arrangements. The sale, distribution, and consumption of alcohol have been completely banned in the district till the stipulated time.

The voters are set to cast their votes from 189 polling stations and 381 polling centers at 13 local levels in the district.
