Kathmandu, May 2
Since early this morning, rain has been occurring in some parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the weather of Nepal is currently affected by local winds, low-pressure systems arising from the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh to the plains of West Bengal, and westerly winds.
The weather is currently partly to generally cloudy across the country, according to the Division.
In one or two places across the hilly terrain of the rest of the provinces, including Pradesh 1, Madhesh Pradesh, and Bagmati Pradesh, there is light to moderate rain with thunder and
lightning.
In Province 1, Madhesh Pradesh, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, and Lumbini Pradesh, the weather will remain partly cloudy this afternoon.
Similarly, the weather in Karnali and Far Western provinces will remain partly cloudy.
In some places of Province 1, Madhesh Pradesh, and Gandaki Pradesh, and a few places of
Bagmati Pradesh, Lumbini Pradesh, Karnali Pradesh, and Far Western Province, light to
moderate rain is possible amid thunderstorms.
