Kathmandu, April 27
Raju Aryal, the Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, has been promoted to
Additional Inspector General of Police by the government.
A cabinet meeting on Tuesday promoted DIG Aryal to the post.
On April 18, the recommendation committee recommended Aryal for promotion. There had
been no complaints about Aryal’s promotion recommendation.
The promotion has paved the way for Aryal to become the future IGP of the Armed Police
Force. DIGs Narayan Datta Paudel, Chandra Prakash Gautam, and Banshi Raj Dahal were in the fray for the promotion to the post of AIG.
Aryal and Narayan Dutta Poudel joined as police inspectors in 2054 BS.
