Kathmandu, April 24
Keshav Sthapit, the CPN- UML’s candidate for mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has resigned from the state assembly.
UML has nominated Sthapit for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
He resigned after the Election Commission made it mandatory for the people’s representatives to resign to become local level candidates.
After returning to Kathmandu from Hetauda, he will go to the National Assembly and register his nomination.
