IPO of Bindhyabasini Hydropower to open from today

Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited will issue and sell its initial public offering (IPO) today.

The company aims to launch an initial public offering (IPO) for residents of the project’s impacted areas. The firm is planning to issue one million ordinary shares having a face value of Rs 100 each.

The company is located in the project’s main infrastructure area in wards 5, 6, and 7 of the Kwalasothar village municipality, as well as wards 8 and 9 of the Madi village municipality of Kaski district. 700,000 shares will be secured for the locals, while the remaining 300,000 shares will be evicted for the locals of all the remaining wards of Kwalasothar village municipality and Madi village of Kaski district that are connected to the project’s main.

At the earliest, the evictions will be halted on the 8th of May, and at the latest, on the 9th of May. Sanima Bank’s Birauta and Pokhara Branch Offices, Civil Bank’s Maling Branch Office, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank’s Kaski and Beshishahar Branch, Pokhara Finance’s Pokhara and Beshishahar Branch, and project workplaces are all accepting applications for the IPO.
