Kathmandu, April 21
CPN-UML and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) have agreed to form an electoral alliance in
Birgunj. They have agreed to give the mayor to UML and the deputy mayor to LSP.
The agreement was signed by CPN-UML Parsa District Chairman Jay Prakash Tharu and LSP
District Chairman Purushottam Lal Jha.
On behalf of the ruling coalition, the mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City is on the side of the
Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and the deputy mayor is on the side of the Nepali Congress.
