Kathmandu, April 20
The ruling coalition has decided to field Srijana Singha, the leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), for Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).
According to a source, although an agreement has been reached to make her a candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, a formal announcement has yet to be made.
The Central Parliamentary Committee selects candidates from the names recommended by the Metropolis Working Committee.
Singh, who has not been active in politics for a long time, is said to be interested in the position of mayor.
