Kathmandu, April 20
Members of the US Congress’s lower and upper chambers will go to Nepal for a three-day visit.
Senators Corey Booker, Mark Kelly, Kristen Gilbrand, and Mondry Jones will lead a delegation to Nepal on Friday.
The delegation members who will arrive in Nepal on Friday will stay till next Sunday. They will visit Nepal from April 22 to 24, according to the Nepali Embassy in Washington, DC.
This trip is significant because it overlaps with the 75th anniversary of the beginning of
diplomatic ties between Nepal and the United States. The group will go to Poland, the United Arab Emirates, India, Nepal, and Germany, according to Senator Corey Booker’s office.
The emphasis of the tour will be Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Nepal has voted in several elections in support of the UN Charter by opposing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
