Kathmandu, April 20

Maha Prasad Adhikari, the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, has resumed his normal duties from today.

The governor was suspended from April 8 as a result of a decision made at a cabinet meeting on April 7. However, on Tuesday, the Supreme Court cleared the way for the governor to resume his duties as governor of the Central Bank.

According to the Supreme Court’s short-term interim decision, Governor Adhikari will resume normal duties today. After 12 days, he will return to work.

In the name of the Prime Minister and the Office of the Council of Ministers, a single bench of Justice Hari Phuyal issued a short-term interim order on Tuesday to ”enable the governor to discharge his official obligations.”

The governor was suspended by the cabinet, and an investigating commission led by retired judge Bhandari was formed. The Supreme Court, on the other hand, has stated that no ruling relating to it should be implemented.

The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for both sides on April 26.
