Kathmandu, April 19
A hearing of the writ petition filed against the suspension of the Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Maha Prasad Adhikari is scheduled for Tuesday.
Governor Adhikari, who had been suspended, had filed a writ petition on Sunday, demanding an interim order reversing the government’s decision.
Adhikari will be reappointed to the NRB Governor post if the Supreme Court issues interim
order against the government’s decision to suspend him.
On April 8, the government suspended Governor Adhikari and formed an investigation
committee, accusing him of leaking sensitive information and underperforming.
