Kathmandu, April 18

CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said Karnali corridor needs upgrading. People of Humla should be ensured of quality transport service by intensifying corridor works, he said.

Chairman Oli also claimed that the country will see a fresh wave of development after the
election, speaking at a program organized by the party in Humla. He reminded that
megaprojects of development were taken forward during the tenure of the UML government led by him.

Oli accused the coalition government of slowing the pace of development activities in the
country. He further said the people in the northern belt of Humla were facing problems with
telephone, internet, road, and employment due to the closed border.

Chairman Oli also shared that he had forwarded the talks to expand Karnali corridor up to Hilsa.

“Humla has huge tourism potential. But transportation is a prerequisite here. Development activities should be prioritized based on geography”, the former PM said, announcing that he would provide education up to Grade 12 to three children from Limi of Namkha Rural Municipality for free of cost.
