Bishwakarma says NC has two presidents

Kathmandu : Nepali Congress (NC) leader Min Bishwakarma has repeated his claim that the party currently has two presidents.

After his recent remarks drew mixed reactions, Bishwakarma took to Facebook on Tuesday night with a long post, reaffirming his position.

“While both sides’ claims are under consideration in court, saying that the party now has two presidents may sound unpleasant to some. But until a verdict is issued, legally, technically, and politically, that remains the reality,” he wrote.

Bishwakarma also laid out his views in 13 points. He noted that he has seen offensive comments on social media regarding his recent statements.

“I have no complaints about that. In the past, when I spoke in a similar manner for party unity, the other side also raised such grievances. I was not shaken,” he wrote. “If we start blaming each other and insulting party colleagues over the results we have achieved today, we will sink deeper into conflict and disputes.”

He argued that the Nepali Congress, with its 80-year history, will not collapse just because of a defeat in one election.

“Once we take part in a process, we must accept its outcome. Just as I worked for party unity before and helped rally everyone under the tree symbol, I will now continue to work for broader unity within the party,” Bishwakarma said. PR
