The stock market declined by 29 points today

Kathmandu, April 17

The Nepse index declined by 29.60 points to 2385.64 points on Sunday, the first day of the
week. On Sunday, a total of 233 businesses’ shares were purchased and sold on the secondary market, with 167 losing value, 24 gaining value, and 4 remaining unchanged. On Sunday, all 12 sub-indices traded stayed in the red.

On Sunday, 347,272 shares were exchanged 29,044 times, resulting in a Rs 1.44 billion
turnover. Nashdo Prosperous Microfinance saw the biggest gain of 10%, while Himalayan
Energy Development Company saw the biggest drop of 10%. On Sunday, the continually
dropping market fell to a line of 2300 points.

On Sunday, Jalpa Community Microfinance, Community Microfinance Financial Institution, and Unnati Sahakarya Microfinance all saw their stock rise three to four percent. Emerging Nepal, Rashtra Utthan Laghubitta, Samling Power, and Naya Sarathi Laghubitta all dropped 5% in the market on Sunday, joining Urja.

On Sunday, Nepal Telecom was the most actively traded stock. In the secondary market, 499.4 million shares of the firm were purchased and sold. Arun Valley Hydropower had the second-highest turnover of Rs 486.2 million, while Global IME Debenture 2086/87 had the third-highest turnover of Rs 425.3 million.
