Kathmandu, April 15
The CPN-Maoist Center has called a Standing Committee (SC) meeting today.
The SC meeting started at Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar.
According to sources, the meeting will focus on election preparations and electoral alliances for the upcoming local elections.
Even though the ruling alliance has formed an electoral alliance, it has not yet finalized the
names of candidates and local units from which they will contest the upcoming elections.
Prachanda has called a meeting with the former SC members as the general convention of the party held recently has been able to elect office-bearers.
