UML and RPP Nepal agree to form an electoral alliance

Kathmandu, April 13

The CPN-UML and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal led by Kamal Thapa have agreed to
forge an electoral alliance in the upcoming local level election.

On Wednesday, the UML’s Local Development Department Chief Debendra Dahal and RPP-
Nepal’s Local Level Mobilization Department Chief Sushil Kumar Shrestha signed a five-point agreement to that effect.

The agreement was signed in the presence of UML’s Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel and RPP-Nepal’s Chairman Kamal Thapa. As per the agreement, UML and RPP-Nepal will forge an electoral alliance wherever possible and RPP-Nepal candidates will also contest the election with UML’s election symbol – Sun.
