Pushpa Ram KC appointed as Inspector General of Armed Police

Kathmandu, April 13

The government has appointed Pushparam KC as the Inspector General of Armed Police.

The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday appointed KC as the Inspector General.

KC was in the lead in the contest for the top post of armed police.

He joined the Nepal Police as an inspector on April 26, 1992, and later joined the Armed Police Force. KC was the head of the Task and Border Security Division. He will be retiring on May 1, 2022.

KC was given the responsibility of acting as Inspector General of the Armed Police Force on
April 11. Shailendra Khanal became the IGP of the Armed Forces for four years from April 12, 2018. Along with his retirement, KC and Ram Sharan Poudel of the same batches were
competing for IGP.
