Kathmandu, April 13

All political parties and candidates have been warned by the Election Commission not to utilize party flags, pamphlets, and election symbols through children in their election campaigns, in violation of the Election Code of Conduct.

The commission has reminded all political parties, leaders, cadres, and anyone involved in the election to follow the election code of conduct to the letter. Because all political parties have previously agreed to the election code of conduct, the commission is sure that political parties and candidates will completely comply with the clear restriction that the party’s flag and election symbol shall not exceed the prescribed size.

”It has been discovered that the Electoral Commission has adopted the election code of conduct with effect from April 8,” the commission stated in a statement. A person attending or campaigning for a political party rally or public meeting may not wear the party’s election symbol or flag engraved with the logo or sticker, or wear clothing, hat or cap, vest, t-shirt, jacket, shirt, scarf, batch, mask or locket, or carry a bag, according to the Code of Conduct.

Except for the 3/3 foot party flag and election emblem of the same size, the election code of conduct states that no digital board, flex, glucine board, audio-visual material, or audio-visual material should be shown in the candidate’s office for the purpose of party publicity.

The participation of children under the age of 18 in election campaigns, public gatherings, and rallies is prohibited under the code of conduct.
