Kathmandu, April 12
The water of the Melamchi river has been sent again to the tunnel. Water was sent to the
tunnel from diversion gate No. 1 in Ambathan on Tuesday.
Minister for Drinking Water Umakanta Chaudhary inaugurated the Melamchi Drinking Water
Project for the second time by opening Gate No. 38 by sending water from Gate No. 1.
Executive Director of the Melamchi Drinking Water Development Committee, Basudev Poudel, said that 265 liters of water poured into the tunnel per second.
