The wage rate index rose 7.26 percent

Kathmandu, April 12

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the annual point-to-point pay and wage rate index climbed by 7.26 percent in March. The NRB provided this information when releasing the country’s current economic and financial status for the previous eight months.

In the previous year’s corresponding month, it had climbed by 1.89 percent. During the review month, the salary index and wage rate index both climbed by 9.44 percent and 6.64 percent, respectively, according to the bank.
