Getting all services is a fundamental right of the people: President Bhandari

Kathmandu, April 11

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has stated that following the advent of democracy, Nepalis
have a basic right to health, education, and social justice.

She said today at the opening of the Gajendra Memorial Hospital in Rautahat’s Madhav Narayan Municipality-3 that the late Gajendra Narayan Singh’s wish had come true.

As a leader in Nepal’s democratic movements, President Bhandari stated that Singh’s name will be immortalized when the villagers get services and facilities from the hospital constructed in his honor.

”Manure, irrigation, fisheries, vegetable farming, fruit farming management, chure area conservation, strengthening of subterranean water resources, and religious tourism should be the top priority of the three levels of government for the farmers,” she remarked in another context.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and Federal MP Rajendra Mahato, Federal MP Anil Kumar Jha,
Chief Minister of Madhes Pradesh Harishankar Mishra, Chairman of the organizing body
Digambar Jha, State Minister Nawal Kishore Sah, Indian Consul General Nitesh Kumar, Dr.
Prabhu Prasad Sah, and others spoke about Singh’s biography. The hospital was funded by the Parliamentary Development Fund of Federal MP Anil Kumar Jha and the Indian Embassy.
