Kathmandu, April 6
The Central Electricity Authority of India granted permission to the Nepal Electricity Authority to export 325 MW of additional electricity.
Earlier, Nepal had permission to export only 39 MW of electricity to the Indian Energy
Exchange.
Nepal will now be able to export 364 MW of electricity as a result of this new decision.
During Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s recent visit to India, Nepal and India signed
various agreements. Those agreements are coming under implementation gradually, according to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation.
