The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has approved a tariff adjustment for long-distance national vehicles.

The Ministry has given the Department of Transport Management in-principal approval to keep the new charge based on the scientific fare. The present fare might be hiked by 11 to 14 percent, according to Namaraj Ghimire, the department’s director-general.

The fee for long-distance vehicles is being changed, according to the agency, and there are
three categories of vehicles: bus, truck, hill, and truck.

The department had previously issued a ministry file requesting an in-principle agreement to reduce the rent. Renukumari Yadav, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, has arrived at the re-file department after reaching a decision.

According to Director General Ghimire, the technicians would choose the path based on the
calculation. ”Information can be published on Sunday when the technicians finish their job,” he said.

The adjustment will be made automatically when the price of petroleum goods is decreased by 5%, according to the department, and no one will have to ask for it. It was previously stated that automated fares will be adopted, however, this was not done.

On July 12, the government last changed the automobile fare. According to the department, diesel costs have increased by 34% since then. There are 13 scientific rent indicators, with petroleum products accounting for 35% of the total.

The department is now modifying the tariff of vehicles operating within inter-province. The
government sets the tariff for national long-distance vehicles that travel between two or more states, according to the constitution.

There is an agreement that the state government would set the fare for cars operating inside the state, and the concerned government will set the fare for vehicles operating at the local level. When the fare on a long route rise, the fare on a medium or local route rises as well.
