The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will be played by former winners England and Australia.

On Thursday, England beat South Africa by 137 runs in the second semi-final, securing a match against Australia. By beating West Indies by 157 runs, Australia has already advanced to the final.

England lost eight wickets in the allocated overs for a total of 293 runs after opener Danny
Wyatt scored a magnificent 129 from 125 balls. Meanwhile, she had managed to escape five cat-outs.

Wyatt and Sophia Duncan added 116 runs for the fifth wicket. Sofia had a total of 60 runs.
Sophie Ecclestone contributed 24 runs off 11 balls at the conclusion of the game.

South Africa fell short of the record-breaking aim set in the One-Day Internationals. After the superb opening pair of Lizzie Lee and Laura Wolverte were out cheaply, England was able to take control of the game.

After Anya Shravasol removed the two in the first three overs, Sophie got six wickets to destroy South Africa’s middle and lower order. She bowled her greatest spell of the season, taking six wickets for 36 runs in eight overs as South Africa was bowled out for 156 in 38 overs.
