The Russian Foreign Minister will visit India to discuss gasoline purchasing concessions

Kathmandu, March 31

Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, will arrive in India today for a two-day visit. This is Russia’s first high-level visit to India since the February 24 invasion in Ukraine. In the Russia-Ukraine crisis, India is on Russia’s side.

The Russian Foreign Minister will undertake an official visit to India from March 31 to April 1, according to the Indian Foreign Ministry’s website.

Discussions on importing petroleum products at lower rates are likely to take place during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov’s visit to India would be focused on concessional oil sales from Russia, according to India’s state-run news agency PTI. There will also be a discussion about military aid.

Diplomats from a variety of nations have recently visited India. He is now in India alongside the British Foreign Secretary, the United States’ Deputy Foreign Security Adviser for International Economic Affairs, and the German Security Adviser. Wang Yi, China’s foreign minister, was in India just a few days ago.
