2.25 billion turnovers as the stock market rose by 40 points

Kathmandu, March 30

After a week of declines, the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) stock market index rose on Wednesday (today). To 2568.25 points, the NEPSE index increased by 40.68 points. Today, Nepse has put a smile on the faces of stock traders who were upset when the market, which had been hanging around 2600 points, fell even more.

Since Wednesday, March 23, Nepse has been falling. Nepse had lost 20.34 points on that day, 16.69 points the next day, 41 points the next day, 29.98 points the next day, and 14 points the next day. The stock market increased by double digits on Wednesday. 45 lakh 2 thousand 511 lots of shares worth 2 billion 25 crores 1 lakh 17 thousand 296 rupees were exchanged today.

Today, Nepse’s 13 sub-indicators are all green. Other groups’ shares increased the greatest, by 4.12 percent. Development bank group shares increased by 3.32 percent, finance group shares increased by 3.29 percent, and hotel and tourist group shares increased by 2.51 percent.

The shareholders of Emerging Nepal Limited have made the most money today. The company’s share price has grown by Rs 101.20 to Rs 1,113.50 after following the bullish circuit. Unilever Limited’s stock price dropped by Rs 18.80 to Rs 921.20.
