The share trading indicator Nepse index fell by double digits on Monday, the second day of the week. Monday’s share trading activity was also lower than Sunday’s. The Nepse index fell 29.98 points to 2,542.28.

The Sensitive Index, which tracks Class A company trading activity, fell five points as well. In the ‘A’ category, Nepse contains 36 companies, including 25 commercial banks. The share trading volume has been hampered by the slowdown in the Nepse index.

On Sunday, shares worth roughly Rs 5 billion were bought and traded, but on Monday, they
settled at Rs 2.54 billion. During the day, a total of 495,814 shares of 231 securities were
exchanged in 42,712 transactions. As a result, the transaction has been stopped at a value of Rs 2.54 billion.
