Russian President Vladimir Putin should be ousted, according to US President Joe Biden. He
made a direct appeal to the Russian people in a speech in Warsaw. He also met with high-
ranking Ukrainians there.
Despite weeks of sanctions and the removal of hundreds of American and European
enterprises, Biden has made such direct appeals to the Russian people. He insists, however,
that the Russian people are not his enemy.
He then tried to draw a comparison between the Ukrainians opposing the Russian invasion and the Soviet Union, which had rescued itself from Nazi Germany during WWII. He was a severe critic of Russian leaders. He urged NATO not to move an inch. He claims that 100,000 US troops are awaiting orders to protect the European Union in Washington. The president has warned that fighting Russia will be difficult for NATO and its members. He admitted that there would be a significant loss, but that it would have to be compensated.
