The 10th International Conference and General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali
Association will be attended by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher
Bahadur Deuba (NRNA). Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka will also be a special guest at the
General Convention’s inaugural session, which begins on Saturday at Hotel Himalaya in Lalitpur.

Dr. Upendra Mahato, former president of the organization, Jiwa Lamichhane, Bhawan Bhatta, and others will speak at the conference. Former president Shesh Ghale and Devman Hirachan’s names have also been mentioned in the program, although their participation has yet to be confirmed. According to reports, the chances of attending the conference are low since Ghale has formed a committee and is planning a separate event.

At the two-day conference, the Association’s General Secretary, Dr. Hemraj Sharma, will present the annual report, while Treasurer Mahesh Shrestha will provide the financial report.

To settle the debate over the Union’s leadership, preparations have been made to modify the constitution at the General Convention to create a multi-presidential system.
