According to the Ministry of Finance’s announcement in the current Fiscal Year’s budget, the ‘Think Tank’ has been activated. On December 22, a five-member think tank was founded under the direction of economist Hari Rok.

According to ministry officials, the committee will also assist in the preparation of the fiscal
year’s budget. Members of the think tank include Somat Ghimire, Jagat Shrestha, Raghuvir Bista, and Sugamjung KC.

In the budget, the ministry announced the formation of such a committee, which would be
engaged in the ministry’s long-term policy decisions. The government gains legitimacy after the parliament approves its policies, plans, and budget. As a result, the think tank has been activated, according to the ministry.
