Kathmandu, March 21
Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi is visiting Nepal on March 25, confirms the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Wang is coming to Nepal at the invitation of Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed on Monday.
During his visit to Nepal, Foreign Minister Wang will pay a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Similarly, he will hold bilateral talks with Minister Khadka on Saturday, March 26.
During the visit, Wang Yi is also scheduled to hold talks with former Prime Minister and UML
Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Prachanda.
Observers have been keenly looking at the visit as China has been repeatedly objecting to
Nepal’s endorsement of the US government’s MCC deal recently.
