Chairman of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the Election Commission (EC) of working in a biased manner. He protested the EC’s decision on the use of green color in the ballot paper.
Green color has a connotation to Nepali Congress and it is aimed at favoring Nepali Congress, Chairman Oli argued. “Why is NC’s election symbol green?” he asked.
He said this while addressing a party program organized by the Suryodaya Municipality
committee and UML district committee. He observed the popularity of CPN-UML was a
worrying factor to other political parties.
Chairman Oli further argued that UML was the people’s party. Other parties were envious of
the development activities the UML forwarded in the sectors of education, health, and
roadway.
On the occasion, UML Vice Chairman Subash Nembang viewed there was people’s wave of people in UML’s favor.
