Considering the country’s current situation of the country, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman
Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has claimed that his party has a possibility of becoming the first after the elections.
He said that the Maoists could reclaim their position as the first party without forging an
electoral alliance.
“Even in 2064 BS, some major parties had said that the Maoists would not get more than five seats, but the people gave us almost a majority,” Prachanda told reporters in Pokhara on Sunday morning.
Prachanda further said that he was confident that the Maoist Center would garner majority
votes as the party would fulfill the issue of empowering the people from institutionalizing
democracy, constitution and peace process.
