Chief Minister Tamang interacts with the students of Sikkim who were evacuated from Ukraine

Gangtok, March 10 : The Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang in the presence of Minister, K.N. Lepcha, Minister, Dr. M.K. Sharma, and Political Secretary to CM, Jacob Khaling interacted with the students of Sikkim who were evacuated from Ukraine.

The Chief Minister in his address welcomed the students and their parents. He motivated the students and assured all possible help from the Government of Sikkim to continue their education.

The Chief Minister informed that the State Government has already corresponded with the Union Health Minister regarding the status of the students and the future course of action.

In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister SAmit Shah, Foreign Secretary, Government of India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Resident Commissioner, Sikkim House, New Delhi, Ashwini Chand, IPS, for safely evacuating the Sikkimese students from Ukraine.

At the outset of the program, the Chief Minister felicitated the Police Officers and Personnel involved in solving the Tashiling Secretariat Vandalism Case.

Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, G.P. Upadhyaya, Secretary to CM, S.D. Dhakal, DG cum Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department,D. Anandan, and other dignitaries were present in the program.(IPR)
