With the formation of a new government, there has been a trend of recalling ambassadors
appointed by the previous government.
Besides that, there is a disagreement among coalition partners on how ambassadorial posts
should be shared. For months, diplomatic missions in many countries have been headless due to his reasons.
For the past eight months, there have been no ambassadors’ appointments in many countries.
The coalition government has called back ambassadors but has not been able to appoint new ambassadors in the vacant posts in many countries.
Currently, 18 countries where there are residential ambassadors of Nepal have become
headless.
